Club Championship 2005/06
The club championship runs every year and culminates with The Glasgow 1/2 Marathon in September. Trophies are given out for the top male and female and also for the top vets. All you have to do is complete 8 races from the list below - 2 short, 2 medium, 2 long and another 2 which will be chosen from your best times. Most of us already run 8 races in a year, so why not plan your race calendar around the championship?

We have added more races for this year so there's no excuse for not taking part. New races include Dumfermline half marathon and Strathclyde Park 10k and again includes the option of doing a marathon in the 'long' section.

There will be regular updates of the scores on the notice and message boards, so you'll be able to see how you fare alongside your mates.

Runners will be awarded points for their finishing times in championship races. Points will be awarded for these times according to recognised tables. The runner's 8 best times (and highest points) will count towards the club championship.

The races are split into categories of short, medium and long and runners must submit at least 2 from each category and at least one race must be a half marathon.

Prizes will be awarded to the top scoring male and female seniors, and male and female veterans (women ages 35+, men ages 40+ on 1st January 06). The overall club champions will be the highest scoring male and female from either senior or vet category.

Times from all championship races should be submitted to Andy Birnie, who will act as a statistician for the club championship.
