Joining the Club
Joining a running club can be a really daunting experience, especially for those who are new to the sport and often come with the misconception that clubs are populated by finely tuned, ultra-serious athletes! In fact nothing is further from the truth, there are always plenty of the not-so-competitive at our Club and we cater for a wide range of abilities, so there should always be a training group at or close to your own running level.

The easiest way to join is to come down to one of our training sessions on Monday or Wednesday night at Glasgow Ski Centre in Bellahouston Park and make yourself known to someone in the Club: they'll be only too happy to introduce you to one of the coaches who'll point you in the right direction.

We realise that introducing yourself to a group of complete strangers is a bit daunting for some, so why not contact us first at: info@bellahoustonroadrunners.co.uk and we'll do everything we can to ensure that coming along to one of our running sessions is less intimidating.

The Road Runners are a big running club so on your first night it may be a bit confusing working out who to speak to in the sea of new faces. To help you a couple of friendly faces are shown below. There should be at least one of them there on any Club night!

Mens Captain: Colin McGill
Club President: Emma Birnie
Emma has been running for 19 years and BRR is her third running club. She started off as a sprinter and a 400m hurdler a good few years ago but now she's happier at distance running and mountain marathons! She's been at Bella since 2002 and was Ladies Captain prior to becoming President.
