Code of Conduct

The club is affiliated in its constitution to Scottish athletics. Through that affiliation, we have adopted a number of policies, including the UKA Codes of Conduct. It is a requirement of membership to agree to abide by these codes, and the other club policies.

A summary of the code is reproduced below.

Please note that, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the club has adopted a set of addendums to its policies, so that adherence to Coronavirus measures (eg. social distancing), and familiarity with our coronavirus plan, are considered an additional part of our codes of conduct.

We have also adopted the Scottish Athletics Disciplinary policy. This gives a clear framework by which any complaints will be handled.

Code of conduct

Our goal is to provide equality and fairness for all in our club and not to discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, religion, age, pregnancy, class or social background and political belief. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

Every club member is entitled to an environment that promotes dignity and respect to all. No form of intimidation, bullying or harassment will be tolerated and any concerns should be reported to the welfare officer.  Training, development and progression opportunities are available to all members if required.
