2026 RACE DAY INFORMATION

COLLECTING YOUR RACE NUMBER

We strongly advise you save yourself time on race day by collecting your race number from our sponsor Migo Sports (511 Clarkston Road, Glasgow G44 3PN) before 3pm on Saturday 7th November.

If you can’t make it to Migo Sports, you can collect your number from Race HQ on race day between 9.30 and 11.30 am. Please allow yourself extra time as it will be busy.

Your race number should be attached to the front of your running top and clearly visible. It contains your timing chip. Do not fold or cover any part of your number.

RACE HQ AND CAR PARKING

Race HQ is in the main sports hall at Glasgow Club Bellahouston (31 Bellahouston Drive, Glasgow, G52 1HH).

You may use the car park at Glasgow Club Bellahouston although it will be busy on race day. There is also plenty of on-street parking around the park on Bellahouston Drive and Paisley Road West.

There will be a bag drop, toilets and changing facilities in Race HQ from 9.30 am.

THE START / COURSE

To get to the start from Race HQ, climb the steps behind the leisure centre. The start is five minute’s walk from Race HQ. There are no toilets at the start, but there are porta-loos near the finish and toilets in the leisure centre.

The race starts at midday. Please arrive at the start in plenty of time for the pre-race briefing at 11.50 am.

Water will be available on the course near the 5k point and at the finish.

First-aiders are stationed at the finish and on bikes around the course. If you need help during the race please speak to the nearest marshal.

FINISHERS T-SHIRT

After you finish you can collect your race t-shirt from the marquee on the bowling green. The size you have ordered is marked on your race number.

POST-RACE BUFFET

You and your supporters are invited to the post-race buffet in Race HQ after the race. A wide range of home baking, sandwiches and other treats as well as soft drinks will be provided. Hot drinks will be on sale in the leisure centre cafe.

We are raising money for the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and would be immensely grateful if you are able to contribute. There will be collection buckets and card machines at the buffet.

A presentation to prize winners will take place at about 2 p.m.

GIVE YOUR GEAR A SECOND LIFE

We’ve teamed up with make do & grow to collect used running gear at this year’s event.

If you have unwanted running kit or shoes which are clean and in good repair, please bring them along to Race HQ or to the marquee, and help your old gear find a new home and purpose.

The Jimmy Finishers Shirt

Since 2017 (with the exception of 2020 & 2021 in the Covid period) our very own Graeme Pert has designed the Jimmy finishers shirts. 2017 was a short-sleeve affair, but ever since then it’s been long sleeves!
